A symbol of the triumph of good over evil, Dusshera is one of the most widely celebrated festivals of India. A virtual tour of Dussehra celebrations this year regaled the ebullient learners of Modern Delhi Public School. Not only did they listen to the story of Ram and Ravan but they also witnessed the carnival and parade while listening to the euphoric beats of the performers. Unraveling their creative side, they displayed immense focus and attention to detail while making an effigy of Ravan and later decorating it. Moulding bits of clay to form varied shapes, the diligent children also made the weapons of Lord Ram, Lakshman and Hanuman such as a bow and arrow and a mace. As the happy feet jived to rhythm of lively music, the hearts exuded the warmth of love for the beloved family members.
