Investiture Ceremony

The programme commenced with a lively orchestra followed by the lamp lighting. Rhythmic beats of the invocation dance set off the tone for the event followed by a melodious choir. Director Principal Mr. U.S. Verma extended a warm and hearty welcome to the Chief Guest and the august gathering and appreciated the services rendered by Dr. Gupta in the field of medicine. He also motivated the Students’ Council to uphold the dignity of their office with utmost zeal and sincerity. The flag ceremony was conducted wherein the outgoing members of the students’ council proudly handed over their charge to the new office bearers. The students’ council was sworn in by the chief guest. A total of 288 students from Modern Delhi Public School, Sec. 87 and Modern Delhi Public School, Sec.89 were decorated with their respective sashes, badges and certificates. This was indeed a moment of pride for the school and the parents who were there to witness this wonderful ceremony.

A play ‘While the Auto Waits’ by O. Henry was enacted by the students highlighting the significance of contentment for a happy life. The programme culminated with a medley performance ‘Incredible India’ highlighting the country’s diversity. The Chief Guest was mighty impressed by the entire ceremony and praised the school, staff and the students for their spirited efforts. He praised the commendable work and achievements of the Director Principal in the arena of education.

The head boy and head girl presented the vote of thanks. The ceremony ended on a happy note. It was a moment of glory for the school, staff, students and the parents.
